《前后赤壁赋》又称《赤壁二赋帖》。此帖是应人之约而书的一件行书作品。元代书法宗师赵孟頫楷书奇珍，系中华十大传世名帖之一。全帖共书八十一行，其中《赤壁赋》四十六行、《后赤壁赋》三十二行，署款三行。根据署款中的“大德辛 书刊丑正月八日”来看，书后时间应是元世祖大德五年，即公元一三○一年。也就是说此帖是赵孟頫四十八岁所书。前后二赋虽为同时所书，但风格稍异。
前赋用笔，提按起伏跳动较大，笔道刚劲而略显生涩。后赋用笔温润洒脱，气定神宋，笔道沉实而稍感圆熟。通观全帖，笔力遒劲，挥洒自如。细瘦处如画沙印泥，沉厚处若绵中裹铁。快捷处牵丝映带可陆断犀象。
